Group Promotion Guidelines
Recommended Ages 6+
Stroke School is LTP Racing Club's beginner group, teaching the basic mechanics of all 4 competitive strokes, turns, and starts in preparation of joining the competitive Team.
Recommended attendance: 3 times/week
LEARN to Swim
Recommended Ages 7+
The LEARN Group is LTP Racing Club's introductory competitive group for swimmers preparing for participating in year-round USA Swimming meets. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes, body position, starts, turns, practice structure, team camaraderie and fun through competition.
Recommended attendance: 3-5 times/week
LOVE to Swim
Recommended Ages 9+
The LOVE Group is to refine stroke mechanics, starts and turns while introducing swimmers to interval training, race preparation, aerobic conditioning, and strength and flexibility training out of the water.
Recommended attendance: 5-6 times/week
LIVE to Swim
Recommended Ages 12+
The LIVE Group is for senior level swimmers, committed to improvement, competition, and excellence.
LIVE LIGHT is designed for swimmers ages 11 - 13, with an eye towards transitioning from Age-Group to Senior level swimming. Emphasis is placed on improving techniques and proper stroke mechanics, aerobic conditioning, strength training through dryland, goal setting, and race strategy. Senior level training concepts and philosophy are introduced and developed.
LIVE is the senior level training group preparing swimmers for State and regional level meets. Emphasis is on setting and achieving goals via a comprehensive competitive swimming program. Focus is on understanding training principles, setting and achieving goals and maximizing realized potential. LIVE training includes refining stroke technique, race strategy, and strength training through dryland, with an increased demand from all facets of training.
LIVE STRONG is our elite training group for older and physically mature swimmers prepared to incorporate strength training and conditioning into their training plan to advance competitive success and prepare swimmers for the physical demands of collegiate swimming. Emphasis is placed on more advanced training and competitive success at the regional and National levels.
Recommended Attendance: 6-9 times a week*.
*With coach approval, double practice will be offered early mornings 2-3 days a week
Recommended Ages 11+
LTP TRAC (Training Racing And Conditioning) is a training group offered for swimmers age 11+ who love swimming for racing, fun and fitness but prefer not to fully commit to the year-round competitive swimming experience. This group is perfect for high school swimmers to improve stroke technique and stay fit in the off-season, swimmers preparing for a successful Summer League season, or swimmers that have a multitude of activities with limited time to focus on training. TRAC is a competitive group with the option of racing at any meet in which the Racing Club competes.
Recommended Attendance: 4 days/week - no mandatory attendance.
